Job summary

AKS Logistics Pte. Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Transport Coordinator to act as the central control point for daily transport operations in Singapore.

You will manage orders, schedules and driver assignments, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate billing through TMS and GPS systems. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of Singapore transport experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple drivers and vehicles under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' Singapore transport/logistics experience.
• Good knowledge of Singapore transport operations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good computer, Excel and Google Sheets knowledge.
• Experience with TMS/fleet management systems preferred.
• Class 4 Singapore driving licence preferred.
• Experience with trucks, trailers, prime movers or container-related transport is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receive and coordinate customer transport orders.
• Prepare the daily transport schedule.
• Assign trucks, trailers and drivers.
• Monitor all jobs from pickup to delivery.
• Communicate daily instructions to drivers.
• Monitor driver attendance and job progress.
• Monitor trucks through GPS/CarTrack.
• Handle delays, breakdowns, urgent jobs and operational problems.
• Communicate with customers regarding pickup, delivery and ETA.
• Update the TMS/job management system accurately.
• Ensure all completed jobs have proper PODs.
• Check PODs and supporting documents.
• Ensure completed job information is submitted to Finance for billing.
• Check waiting time, detention and additional charges.
• Prepare daily transport/operations reports.
• Coordinate with workshop/fleet team regarding vehicle issues.
• Escalate serious operational or customer issues to management.
• Maintain proper records and ensure no job is left incomplete.

Job description

The Transport Coordinator will be the central control point for AKS daily transport operations:

Customer → Operations → Driver → Truck/Trailer → TMS/GPS → POD → Finance

Position: Transport Coordinator

Department: Transport / Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager / Transport Manager

Location: Singapore

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary

• Junior: S$2,500–S$2,700
• Experienced: S$2,700–S$3,000
• Senior / highly experienced: S$3,100–S$3,500+

Candidates with Class 4 license, strong transport experience and TMS/GPS experience may be offered at the higher end.

• Able to manage multiple drivers and jobs simultaneously.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Responsible, punctual, organised and proactive.

The Transport Coordinator will be measured on:

• 98%+ job scheduling accuracy
• 98%+ job completion
• 100% POD collection
• 100% TMS/job updates
• Prompt response to customer and driver enquiries.
• Immediate escalation of significant delays and breakdowns.
• 99%+ billing/job information accuracy
• Minimal outstanding PODs at month-end.
• Proper driver and vehicle coordination.
• Reduction of unnecessary vehicle idle time and empty trips.
• Good customer service and minimum preventable complaints.
• Excellent attendance and work discipline.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on person who can independently control the daily transport operation.

At any time, the Transport Coordinator should be able to know:

Which driver is doing which job → Which truck/trailer is assigned → Where the vehicle is → Whether the job is on time → Whether POD has been received → Whether the job is ready for billing.

The successful candidate must take ownership of problems and find solutions rather than simply report problems.
