Job summary

SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION in Singapore seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to oversee utilities diversion design and related construction activities. You will lead project groups, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with authority requirements for complex utility works.

Ideal candidates have 5–6 years in construction supervision for utilities, especially in LTA projects, with at least 3 years on A1 maincon.

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5-6 years in construction supervision / project coordination for utilities in LTA projects.
• At least 3 years of A1 maincon experience.
• Registered earthwork supervisor with EMA/SPPG.
• Experience in Dry & Wet utilities preferred.
• Good command in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage design of utilities diversion route, supporting structure and other required structures.
• Study and determine existing utilities; oversee site utilities diversion work.
• Liaise with approved subcontractor for services diversion works.
• Identify and resolve system failures; oversee preventative maintenance.
• Direct project groups/technicians on utility process, design and construction.
• Compile data on utility process units; monitor system efficiency and energy/material usage.
• Manage utility construction projects: scope, timelines, specifications, budgets.
• Oversee site works to ensure adherence to authority requirements.
• Apply AutoCAD 2D and Civil 3D to study/design utility clashes with NSC tunnel work.
• Understand utility agency requirements for diversions and clearances.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Managing the design of utilities diversion route, supporting structure and other required structure.
• Study and determine the existing utilities, In-charge of site utilities diversion work
• Engage and liaise with approved subcontractor for any services diversion works
• Identify and resolve system failures and perform on oversee preventative maintenance
• Direct project groups and/or technicians, providing activities and guidance on utility process, design, and construction
• Compile data on utility process units, monitoring system efficiency and energy and material usage
• Manage utility construction projects, developing project scope, timelines, specifications, and budgets
• Effectively oversee and supervise utility site work, ensuring strict adherence to authority requirements
• Application of Auto CAD 2D and Civil 3D software to study, design and plan utility clashes with NSC tunnel work activities
• Familiar with different utility agency requirements for any utility-related works, such as diversion, utility support designs and attaining clearances for work activities in the utility setback distance

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in Civil Engineering
