Job summary

Confidential, a Japan-focused equities long/short hedge fund in Singapore, is seeking an experienced Trader to join its trading team. You will execute trade orders for portfolio managers and support various execution activities.

The role will work closely with the Senior Trader and trading team to operate the trading desk, implement improvements to trading processes and workflows, and ensure best execution across Asia markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years buy-side trading/execution experience.
• Experience trading listed equities, listed equity swaps, listed futures, listed options and FX hedging.
• Understanding of trading compliance requirements across Asian equity markets.
• Understanding of pre-trade allocation processes between commingled funds and SMAs.
• Proficiency in trade execution and portfolio management systems (Enfusion, TORA).
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, VBA, programming and other automation tools.
• Degree in Economics, Finance or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades and manage trade orders on behalf of portfolio managers for Japan and certain Asian markets.
• Conduct transaction cost analysis (TCA) to assess execution efficiency and support best execution practices.
• Monitor and manage pre-trade allocation splits between commingled funds and SMAs.
• Perform trade orders processing and reconciliation across trade execution and portfolio management systems.
• Coordinate with execution brokers to resolve trade order issues.
• Monitor restriction lists relating to IPO and PO participations.
• Work closely with the Senior Trader and internal stakeholders to implement improvements to trading processes and workflows.

Key Requirements
