Optiver in Singapore is seeking a Trading Supervisor to be the first responder to incidents and drive resolution while communicating updates to stakeholders. You will monitor automated trading systems across markets, assess live trading for issues, and work with risk managers, traders, engineers, brokers, and exchanges to resolve problems in real time.

The role requires 5+ years in trade supervision or related fields, knowledge of exchange rules, and proficiency in Python and Linux.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in a Trade Supervision, Trading, Risk, Application Engineering, or similar role.
• Prior trading exposure across asset classes and strategies is highly desirable.
• Understanding of exchange-specific rules and procedures.
• Excellent communication, project management and time management skills.
• Solid experience with high-frequency automated trading strategies preferred.
• Experience with Python, Linux command line and the ability to extract and manipulate large data sets preferred.
• Full Singapore working rights essential.

Job description

As a Trading Supervisor you will be first responder to incidents and responsible for seeing problems through until resolution, all the while communicating updates to relevant stakeholders and taking preventative action afterwards to ensure the issues do not reoccur. Having a decisive nature and problem-solving mindset are essential to succeeding in this role.

You will be supporting multiple globally oriented automated trading strategies and have the following responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor our automated trading systems in various markets that we trade in
• Assess live trading for any issues (e.g. risk, compliance, production issues) and quickly respond to unusual behaviours or market conditions.
• Working closely with risk managers and trading teams to alert key staff of any intraday trading issues and collaborating with Optiver's engineers, brokers, and exchanges to resolve problems in real time.
• Documenting procedures and logging production issues as they occur.

WHO YOU ARE

• At least 5 years' experience in a Trade Supervision, Trading, Risk, Application Engineering, or similar role.
• Prior trading exposure across asset classes and strategies highly desirable
