Job summary

Concord Electrical Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Project Manager with a strong background in 22kV and DC traction power systems to lead electrical projects from planning through commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least eight years of hands-on experience managing projects with traction power systems, including switchgear installations and cable laying. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of Project / Construction Manager experiences.
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience of managing projects with 22kV and DC Traction Power Supply systems (e.g., switchgear installations, cable laying, protection testing).
• Solid understanding DC traction power systems installation, operation, and testing.
• Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards and local electrical codes.
• Excellent project planning and execution skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects involving 22kV and DC Traction Power Supply systems from initiation to handover.
• Oversee procurement, scheduling, technical reviews, installation, and commissioning of low-voltage (LV) systems.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of project tasks.
• Ensure compliance with all technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve technical documents such as installation drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Plan and manage resources (manpower, materials, equipment) to meet project deadlines and budgets.
• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation plans.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress reviews.
• Ensure accurate and timely project reporting to management and stakeholders.
• Review, plan and manage the testing and commissioning plan and schedule for 22kV and DC Traction Power Supply systems, including switchgear, transformers, cables, and protection systems.
