Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support tooling development, validation, and continuous improvement for manufacturing operations in Singapore. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and production stakeholders to ensure tooling performance, quality, and manufacturability throughout the tooling lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant tooling/manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with tooling, moulds, dies, fixtures, jigs, or manufacturing equipment expected.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, Creo/Pro-E, or AutoCAD).
• Exposure to DFM, tooling validation, FAI, NPI, or production support is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and improvement of tooling, moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures and related equipment.
• Contribute to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and provide input during product development.
• Coordinate with toolmakers, suppliers, and external vendors on tooling fabrication and modifications.
• Assist tooling trials, first article inspections, qualification activities and issue resolution.
• Investigate tooling and process issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, NPI, and Operations to ensure new products are production-ready.
• Drive continuous improvement to tooling performance, product quality, and efficiency.
• Support preventive maintenance and lifecycle management of tooling.
• Occasional travel to supplier and manufacturing sites within the region.
