Job summary

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein) is seeking a Tooling Engineer in Singapore to lead tooling-related CI projects and improve mould reliability and manufacturing performance. The role requires mentoring Tooling Engineers and driving best practices in tooling engineering.

Responsibilities include development of improvement plans to boost OEE, reduce cycle time, scrap, and downtime, plus leading investigations and preventive maintenance to enhance tooling reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree, Diploma, or apprenticeship in Toolmaking or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years tooling experience in injection moulding or precision manufacturing.
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience leading continuous improvement programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead tooling-related continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mould reliability, operational efficiency, and manufacturing performance.
• Develop and implement annual tooling improvement plans to improve OEE, reduce cycle time, scrap, and downtime.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Tooling Engineers, Toolmakers, and technical teams.
• Lead complex tooling investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop tooling standards, procedures, and support tooling technology improvements.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance to improve tooling reliability and reduce mould failures.
• Support DFM, mould design reviews, tooling qualification, and NPI activities.

Our client, a leading multinational electronics manufacturing company is currently looking for a Tooling Engineer.

Location: Marsiling Road

Responsibilities

• Lead tooling-related continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mould reliability, operational efficiency, and manufacturing performance.
• Develop and implement annual tooling improvement plans to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reduce cycle time, scrap, and tooling-related downtime.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Tooling Engineers, Toolmakers, and technical teams while driving best practices in tooling engineering.
• Lead complex tooling investigations, root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop tooling standards, engineering procedures, and support strategic tooling technology improvements.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives to improve tooling reliability and reduce recurring mould failures.
• Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM), mould design reviews, tooling qualification, and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.

Requirements

• Degree, Diploma, or recognised apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of tooling experience in injection moulding or precision manufacturing.
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement programmes and tooling optimisation projects.
