ShipIn Systems is seeking a Tier 1 IT Engineer to install, configure, and support IP camera systems and Linux-based servers in maritime environments. You will manage network connectivity, perform first-level troubleshooting, and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an IT/Support Engineer for complex, multidisciplinary products and systems.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switching, VLANs, basic routing).
• Experience with Linux operating systems, and IP-based surveillance systems or similar networked devices.
• Familiarity with Jira, Grafana, and Slack or equivalent tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support IP camera systems, including PoE switches, cabling, and endpoint connectivity.
• Assist in the deployment and basic administration of Linux servers supporting AI and video analytics services.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor system health and alerts using available monitoring tools.
• Log, track, and update incidents, requests, and tasks using Jira, ensuring timely resolution and proper escalation.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, checklists, and installation records.
