ShipIn Systems is hiring a Tier 1 IT Engineer to install, support, and troubleshoot IT systems in maritime environments, focusing on IP camera installations, Linux servers, and network connectivity.

The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow structured procedures while handling multiple tasks. Fluency in English is essential; maritime exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as IT/Support Engineer for complex, multidisciplinary products and systems.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, switching, VLANs, and basic routing.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and IP-based surveillance systems or similar networked devices.
• Familiarity with Jira, Grafana, and Slack or equivalent tools.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support IP camera systems, including PoE switches, cabling, and endpoint connectivity.
• Assist in deployment and basic administration of Linux servers supporting AI and video analytics services.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor system health and log incidents using Jira with timely resolution and escalation.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and installation records.
