Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) is seeking process engineers to join its semiconductor foundry operation in Singapore. You will monitor in-line SPC/defect/ equipment issues, drive productivity improvements, and establish stable process parameters across equipment to ensure line stability.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics and hands-on experience with advanced nodes (22/28nm or below).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
  • At least 2 years of semiconductor foundry module process experience.
  • 22/28 nanometer and below advanced technology node experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of process development, optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and project management for process improvements or technology transfer.
  • Ability to analyze complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience with SPC, 8D reporting, DOE, FMEA and PMO preferred.

  • Manage productivity-improvement projects, especially for new processes, using process-characteristic tools to improve condition and technology.
  • Establish process parameters for various semiconductor equipment to ensure line stability.

  • Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in semiconductor foundry module process
  • 22/28 nanometer and below advance technology nodes experience is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of process development, optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Proven leadership skills in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects related to process improvement or technology transfer
  • Ability to analyze complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • Experience skills including SPC, 8D reporting, DOE, FMEA and PMO is preferred
