Job summary

REACH COMMUNITY SERVICES LTD. is seeking a Therapy Assistant to support Therapists and help manage daily therapy operations at the Bukit Panjang centre. You will prepare clients and materials, monitor vital signs, and assist with programme delivery under supervision.

The role requires a Diploma in Healthcare Management or related discipline, English proficiency, and teamwork, with MS Office skills and a proactive, independent work style. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in healthcare management or related discipline.
• Certificate in Therapy Services and/or WSQ Therapy Support is an advantage.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Therapists in assessing clients for therapy suitability.
• Prepare clients, equipment and materials for therapy sessions.
• Monitor and record clients' vital signs as instructed.
• Assist in implementing individual and group therapy programmes.
• Carry out therapy procedures under guidance of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
• Observe and report clients' progress to Therapists.
• Maintain infection control, cleanliness and safety of therapy areas.
• Assist clients with toileting when required.
• Maintain client records, monitor attendance and conduct follow-up calls.
• Perform administrative duties and update activity records.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Therapists in assessing clients' suitability for therapy.
• Prepare clients, equipment, and materials for therapy sessions.

• Assist in implementing individual and group therapy programmes.
• Carry out therapy procedures under the guidance of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

Requirements

• Diploma in Healthcare Management or a related discipline.
• Certificate in Therapy Services and/or WSQ Certification in Therapy Support is an advantage.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Ability to communicate in a second language is an advantage. Proficiency in local dialects is beneficial for communicating with elderly clients who are more comfortable conversing in dialects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
