Job summary

SPD seeks a compassionate care assistant to support clients with daily living activities and therapy sessions in a clinical setting in Singapore. You will assist with ADL tasks, monitor client safety during treatments, and help prepare clients and equipment for therapy sessions.

Experience with dementia care is preferred, and strong communication with clients and caregivers is essential. You will work with therapists to implement routine exercises and group activities, maintain equipment, and

Qualifications

Minimum completion of secondary education or equivalent.
WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or relevant certificate preferred.
Experience caring for clients with dementia preferred.
Able to communicate effectively with clients and caregivers from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety and wellbeing of clients at all times.
Provide person-centred care in daily operations.
Monitor clients during treatment for safety.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and accompany clients to the toilet when needed.
Assist with other nursing care tasks (e.g., wound dressing).
Prepare clients and therapy equipment before each session.
Support and/or conduct routine exercises or group therapy as directed by therapists.
Assist with donning/doffing prosthetics as needed.
Report client behavior and feedback to therapists.
Maintain and report on maintenance of therapy equipment.
