Job summary

SPD in Singapore is seeking Healthcare Therapy Assistant/Training Support roles to help clients with daily activities and participate in planned activities at the centre and on outings.

You will assist clients with boarding and disembarking from vans, support self-care and personal hygiene, and help maintain cleanliness of materials and spaces in line with guidelines. Adaptable candidates with experience with disabilities are preferred and a patient, positive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Patient and positive about working with adults with disabilities.
• Adaptable and keen to learn strategies in working with different individuals with disabilities.
• Experience in working with people with moderate to severe disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Training Officers/Healthcare Therapy Assistants in helping clients board on and disembark from vans at the centre.
• Assist Training Officers/Healthcare Therapy Assistants in engaging clients during planned activities, including in-centre activities and outings.
• Assist clients in self-care, including feeding, toileting, and maintaining good standards of personal hygiene.
• Assist Training Officers/Healthcare Therapy Assistants in maintaining standards of cleanliness and hygiene of materials, equipment, and action areas used by clients, according to prevailing guidelines.
