Job summary

UNITED TEST AND ASSEMBLY CENTER LTD in Singapore is seeking an Equipment Engineer to provide hands-on support for testers and interfaces, perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

The role focuses on improving yield, quality and efficiency, supporting NPI and production transfers, and collaborating with planning to optimize tester utilization. A degree in Engineering and 3 years in manufacturing/semiconductor are required.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Strong hardware troubleshooting and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for testers and interface installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield, quality, and overall operational efficiency.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth production transfers.
Collaborate with Planning to optimize tester utilization and meet shipment schedules.
Implement solutions to minimize downtime, prolong tester lifespan, and improve MTBF/MTTR.
Develop projects to enhance line productivity and cost reduction.
Guide and coach Associate Engineers on troubleshooting and best practices.
Maintain detailed documentation and publish technical reports.
Ensure adherence to department standards for ESD, safety, housekeeping and discipline.
