Job summary

Success Human Resource Centre Pte Ltd. is seeking a Test Development Engineer in Singapore. This role involves developing test programs for the In Circuit Tester, troubleshooting PCBA, and collaborating with engineers to ensure high-quality products.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge in Electronics Engineering, experience in PCBA troubleshooting, and familiarity with VHDL and Python. A positive mindset and teamwork ability is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum NTIEC in Electronics Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Knowledge in Electronics Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Experience in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) troubleshooting.
• Experience in product-level testing and debugging is beneficial.
• Understanding of VHDL for logic control and circuit simulations.
• Some experience in Python programming is advantageous.

• Conduct failure analysis of defective boards.

Job description

Overview

As a Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting test programs for the In Circuit Tester. You will perform machine operation programming using VHDL and Python, PCBA level debugging and soldering, and collaborate with engineers to ensure high‑quality products. You will also explore new tools to enhance operations at team and workshop levels.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement new tools and machines to maintain board level repair availability and readiness.
• Perform defect troubleshooting at the PCBA level and set up equipment for testing or analysis.
• Conduct failure analysis of defective boards.

Period

• 1 year contract (renewable & convertible)

Working Hours

• Mon - Fri: 8am - 5.30pm

Salary

• $3,000-$5,000

Location

• Ang Mo Kio (Shuttle service provided)

Job Requirements

• Minimum NTIEC in Electronics Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Knowledge in Electronics Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Experience in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) troubleshooting.
• Experience in product‑level testing and debugging is beneficial.
• Understanding of VHDL for logic control, integrated circuit simulations, and verification, with knowledge of both analogue and digital circuit design requirements.
• Some experience in Python programming is advantageous.
• A willingness to learn and a positive mindset.
• Understanding of quality and process improvement from card level repair to testing.
• Ability to work well both in a team and independently as required.
