Job summary

WeLead Solutions Pte Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to design and implement tests for new electronics products. You will work on cost, capability, and capacity studies, and develop test hardware and software to meet production needs.

The role requires a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of LabVIEW, TestStand, CVI and PXI/LXI/GPIB platforms. on-site in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: 3–5 years in manufacturing test development or related roles.
• Proficient with test equipment, automation software and instrumentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Design tests for new products and processes.
• Identify cost, capability and capacity improvements for testing.
• Develop and maintain test systems and procedures.
• Modify and enhance test software to improve methods.
• Ensure high uptime and capacity of test equipment for production.
• Support test process start-ups and transfers for new products.
• Drive yield, quality, UPH and OEE improvement initiatives.
• Establish maintenance and calibration schedules for production equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturing systems.

Job description

Take on role as Manufacturing Test development Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Designing test for new products.
• Work on new business plans by involvement in cost, capability & capacity study by Identifying new technology and developing new capabilities for Test.
• Manufacturing electrical test development for electronics products.
• Managing resources to maximize test equipment uptime & capacity for production requirements.
• To modify, install & improve test systems and test procedures.
• To modify test software to enhance test methods.
• Resolving all test hardware & software issues to meet zero Test Program Failures.
• Striving to meet Departmental goals on Cost, Responsiveness & Quality objectives.
• Develop and establish work instructions, routing, and workmanship standards.
• Tracking & managing CAPEX spending within the allocated budget.
• Establish preventive maintenance and calibration of production equipment.
• Support new product/test process start-ups/transfers and change management.
• Support planning and executing yield/quality/test process/UPH/machine/OEE improvement initiatives.
• Developing and promote new technologies and test processes.
• Provide support engineering team to improve manufacturing system and test processes.

Requirements

• Possesses a Degree Holder in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
• Prior work experiences 3 to 5 years.
• Familiar with typical test equipment and sound knowledge of machine control and automations software (Teststand, LabVIEW, CVI etc).
• Strong micro-controller based knowledge.
• Knowledge of test hardware and software development.
• Familiar with test system such as PXI, LXI and GPIB based instrument.
• Knowledge of environmental testing equipment, NI labview and CVI.
• Knowledge of international test standards such as ISO & IEC will be an added advantage.
