Job summary

The Public Service Division (PSD) Data Office in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented data support analyst to help manage HR data and analytics initiatives. You will compile data tracking lists, automate data collection, and assist in data governance tasks using Python and Power Automate.

You'll collaborate with system stakeholders, monitor enquiries, and contribute to analytics projects and data products, applying strong Excel and numerical skills to ensure data quality and informed

Job description

What you will be working on:

The Data Office champions the overall HR data strategy for the whole-of-government and PSD. We are responsible for end-to-end solutioning to allow PSD to use data effectively in developing its policies and programmes, as well as to drive adoption and evolution of HR data analytics across the public service. As part of the team at the Data Office, your responsibilities are to:

• Compile and update operational data tracking lists, including the implementation of automated data compilation processes using Python and Power Automate to streamline email-based data collection and incident tracking
• Report and follow up on erroneous data flagged in the tracking lists for investigation by vendor and/or source system stakeholders
• Support operational enquiries received from system stakeholders
• Monitor and track enquiries/responses received from the respective stakeholders
• Contribute to various data initiatives within the Data Office when needed, including supporting analytics projects, data engineering tasks, and / or the development of data products

What we are looking for:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Meticulous and have a keen eye for detail.
• Good analytical skills and must be comfortable working with numbers.
• Good written and spoken communications skills.
• General digital savviness: Comfortable with using IT tools independently.
• Ability to think clearly and make sound judgement - able to analyse different sources of information and problem solve.
• Experience with Python and Power Query would be helpful.
