Job summary

N-TechAutomation Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to support our Oil & Gas, Marine, and Industrial projects. The role covers design, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and project execution of telecommunication and marine systems across onshore and offshore facilities.

The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in Telecommunications or related fields, 10+ years in the industry, and hands-on experience with FAT/SAT, offshore deployments, and safety training (BOSIET/EBS, H2S).

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years of Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, or Energy industry experience.
• Proven experience with telecom and communication systems deployment, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Experience on offshore platforms, FPSO, refineries, petrochemical plants, or marine vessels preferred.
• BOSIET with EBS and Basic H2S training.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel extensively, including offshore assignments.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, test, and commission telecom systems such as ACS, POB, CCTV, PABX, PAGA, EMMS, and marine communications.
• Review client specs and interface with clients, vendors, and project teams on technical matters.
• Perform FAT, SAT, troubleshooting, and system verification activities; support commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate equipment inspections, installation activities, and site works; monitor progress and prepare documentation.

About the Role

N-TechAutomation Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly motivated TelecomEngineer to support our Oil & Gas, Marine, and Industrial projects. Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for engineering, design, testing,commissioning, maintenance, and project execution of telecommunication andmarine communication systems across onshore and offshore facilities.

Key Responsibilities

TelecommunicationSystem Engineering & Design

• Design, configure, test, and commission telecommunication systems including:
• Access Control System (ACS)
• Personnel On Board (POB) System
• CCTV Surveillance Systems
• PABX Telephone Systems
• Public Address and General Alarm (PAGA) Systems
• Engineering Maintenance Management Systems (EMMS)
• Marine Communication Systems
• Review customer technical specifications and project requirements.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and project teams on technical matters.

Testing & Commissioning

• Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and integrated system testing, troubleshooting, and system verification activities.
• Support commissioning and final project handover to customers.

Project Execution

• Coordinate equipment inspections, installation activities, and site works.
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project schedules.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.
• Support offshore mobilisations and customer site activities.

Requirements

Education

• Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Information Technology (IT), or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, or Energy industry.
• Proven experience with telecom and communication systems deployment, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Experience working on offshore platforms, FPSO, refineries, petrochemical plants, or marine vessels is highly preferred.

Mandatory Certifications

• Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) with Emergency Breathing System (EBS)
• Basic H₂S (Hydrogen Sulphide) Training

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of industrial communication and telecom systems.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and engineering documents.
• Experience in FAT, SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
• Good understanding of offshore safety requirements and project execution processes.
