As a Senior Telecom Engineer, you will be responsible for the detailed engineering and technical execution of the Telecom Package, ensuring that all designs comply with client specifications, applicable international standards and codes, and the requirements of the selected project classification society.

The Job
- Lead and execute the systems design engineering of telecommunications systems commonly used in the Marine and Oil & Gas sectors.
- Prepare and review Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs) as required.
- Prepare and review Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for Telecom Systems.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including Technical Queries (TQs), Material Take-Offs (MTOs), Equipment Lists, and Cable Schedules.
- Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings, including Cable Block Diagrams, Layout Drawings, Termination Drawings, and other relevant project design documentation.
- Provide installation supervision, testing, and commissioning of telecommunications systems commonly used in the Marine and Oil & Gas sectors.
- Ensure all designs and engineering activities comply with applicable international codes and standards, including IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, Lloyd's Register, and ABS.
- Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines to manage interfaces and ensure effective project integration.
- Attend client meetings and provide timely responses to technical queries relating to assigned projects.
- Lead and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) in collaboration with clients and vendors.
- Undertake other related duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
The Talent
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in telecommunications design engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning within the Marine and Oil & Gas sectors.
- Strong knowledge of applicable international codes and standards, including IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, Lloyd's Register, and ABS.
- Working knowledge of ATEX / IECEx requirements, including the installation of electrical and telecommunications equipment in hazardous areas.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong vendor management, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams.
