Job summary
Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to design and oversee telecom systems for marine and oil & gas projects in Singapore. You will review technical documents and CAD drawings, coordinate with vendors, and support installation, testing, and commissioning.
The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Engineering, with at least 10 years in telecom engineering within marine/oil & gas sectors, and strong knowledge of industry standards
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of telecom engineering experience in marine or oil & gas.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, Lloyd's Register, and ABS.
- Familiar with ATEX and IECEx hazardous area installations.
- Experience in design, installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems.
- Excellent vendor management and client-facing communication.
Responsibilities
- Design telecommunications systems for marine and oil & gas projects.
- Prepare and review technical documents, specifications, and bid evaluations.
- Create and maintain equipment lists, cable schedules, and project documentation.
- Review AutoCAD drawings such as layouts, cable diagrams, and termination drawings.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of telecommunications systems.
- Attend client meetings, provide technical support, and lead FAT activities.
