Job summary

The Hacens Talent Pte. Ltd is seeking an IT Infrastructure professional in Singapore to design, implement, and manage robust IT environments.

You will work with clients to understand requirements, develop architectures, and deploy end-to-end infrastructure covering network, compute, storage, and security. You will lead projects from design through implementation, ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and adherence to security standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, preferably in a system integrator.
• Hands-on experience with designing, implementing and managing IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in network administration, Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with storage solutions and network security is essential.
• Familiarity with PowerShell, Python or Bash is advantageous.

• Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues; minimise service disruption.
• Provide technical support to customers and work with client IT teams.
• Transfer knowledge and train client staff; document operating procedures.
• Manage infrastructure projects from planning to completion; coordinate stakeholders.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and timelines; prepare progress updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve environments and processes; drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design & Architecture

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and technical needs.
• Design and develop infrastructure solutions covering network, compute, storage, and security.
• Prepare detailed technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Recommend appropriate technologies and solutions based on customer requirements.

Implementation & Deployment

• Deploy, configure, and integrate hardware and software components according to approved designs.
• Install and configure servers, storage systems, networking equipment, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting during implementation.

System Administration & Maintenance

• Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and optimisation of IT infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Manage system backups and support disaster recovery initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity, system availability, performance, and security.

Network Management

• Design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable network infrastructures.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPNs.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
• Minimise service disruption and ensure high availability of customer environments.

Security Management

• Implement and maintain security controls to protect customer IT environments.
• Conduct security reviews, audits, and vulnerability assessments.
• Apply appropriate security best practices across infrastructure environments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable security standards and requirements.

Client Support & Engagement

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers.
• Work closely with customer IT teams to ensure smooth implementation and operation of solutions.
• Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate technical recommendations.
• Conduct knowledge-transfer and training sessions for client IT teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operating procedures.

Project Management

• Manage infrastructure projects from planning and implementation through to completion.
• Coordinate with customers, internal teams, technology vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
• Prepare project documentation and provide regular progress updates.

Continuous Improvement

• Keep up to date with emerging IT infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer environments, processes, and operational efficiency.
• Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance IT infrastructure.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, preferably within a system integrator environment.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Network administration – routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs
• Windows and Linux servers
• Virtualisation – VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent
• Cloud platforms – AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
• Storage solutions – SAN, NAS, and related technologies
• Network security – firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and security protocols

• Experience working directly with customers and understanding their technical requirements.
• Knowledge of ing and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
