Zusammenfassung

Deutsche Bank AG is seeking a seasoned Middleware Platform Engineer to ensure the stability and resilience of enterprise messaging, IBM MQ and Solace platforms supporting the bank's global operations. You will drive incident, problem, and change management, partnering with global teams to deliver reliable data flows and meet SLAs.

You will develop monitoring, automation, and observability capabilities, reduce toil, and contribute to large-scale technology transformations.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 6 years of experience with IBM MQ and Solace technologies.
• Strong knowledge of MQ & Solace architecture, queues, channels, clusters and message flows.
• Experience with incident, problem and change management processes.
• Automation experience using scripts and APIs to streamline operations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to improve platform stability, performance, and availability.
• Review and validate application and platform changes, ensuring risks are identified and controls documented.
• Develop and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities to maximise performance and uptime.
• Lead incidents, problem, and post-mortem activities, driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Ensure critical data feeds and messaging services meet SLAs while maintaining high availability.

As a technical member of the Managed Middleware Platform team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and resilience of enterprise messaging, IBM MQ and Solace platforms that support Deutsche Bank's global business operations. You will drive incident, problem, and change management, ensuring critical services and data flows are delivered reliably and within SLA commitments. Working closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams, you will proactively identify and mitigate operational risks, enhance platform performance, and support large-scale technology transformation initiatives. Through automation, observability, and SRE best practices, you will help improve operational efficiency, reduce toil, and strengthen the reliability of mission-critical platforms that power the bank's digital ecosystem.

Your key responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to improve platform stability, performance, and availability.
• Review and validate application and platform changes, ensuring risks are identified and appropriate controls and documentation are in place.
• Develop and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities to maximize platform performance and uptime.
• Lead incidents, problem, and post-mortem activities, driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement across support processes.
• Ensure critical data feeds and messaging services meet SLAs while maintaining high availability of business-critical functions.
• Collaborate across global teams and support operational responsibilities, including escalation management, disaster recovery coordination, and delegated ITAO/CSM activities.

Your skills and experience:

• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in IBM MQ and Solace technologies, with strong expertise in infrastructure (Network, UNIX, and storage solutions).
• Strong knowledge of MQ & Solace architecture, including queue managers, channels, clusters, and message flows.
• Experience with message brokers, queues, topics, VPNs, client profiles, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot messaging issues, connectivity failures, queue backlogs, message loss, and performance bottlenecks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on scripting experience in Python, UNIX/Linux Shell, and Perl.
• Extensive IT support experience within financial services, including stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Automate operational tasks using scripts, APIs, and self-service tools to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
