Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Contamination Control Technician to join FAB 10. You will work with facilities, fab support and engineering teams to monitor environmental quality and prevent contamination during manufacturing.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, sampling areas for contamination, ensuring real-time monitoring, supporting contamination control projects, and upholding cleanroom protocols. Night shifts and 12-hour rotations are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials or related field.
• Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply.
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques such as ion chromatography, gas chromatography and particle analyzers is a plus.
• Willing to work a 12-hour shift, including night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ERT and security alerts and manage gowning room logistics during evacuations.
• Respond to contamination alarms and report abnormal conditions to engineering.
• Sample fab areas for contamination (swabs, bacteria, particles) and liaise with the lab for analysis.
• Ensure real-time monitoring systems are operating and recording correctly.
• Conduct initial investigations on contamination issues and provide data to engineering.
• Support contamination control engineering projects and related special projects.
• Ensure cleanroom protocol is followed by all team members.
• Act as contamination control resource to fab, probe, facilities and other groups.

Job Description

At Micron, we offer an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious Contamination Control Technician to join our diverse team at FAB 10. As a key player in the environment quality control sector, you will collaborate with Facilities, Equipment, Fab support, Production Teams and area engineering teams. Your role will involve environmental samplings, quality control checks, contamination troubleshooting, state-of-the art sensors maintenance to prevent environment/chemical contamination (such as particle, airborne molecular contamination, liquid particle contamination) to the manufacturing process. You will consistently adhere to world-class standards and successfully implement coordinated reaction mechanism to prevent fab excursion.

Responsibilities:

• Responding to ERT and Security alerts and ensuring that gowning room logistics are adequate when evacuation occurs.
• Responding to contamination alarms and reporting abnormal conditions to engineering and other stake holders.
• Sampling various areas of the Fab for contamination (swab, bacteria, airborne and liquid particles and airborne molecular contamination) and working with the chemical lab to have the samples analyzed and obtaining the data in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that real time monitoring systems are Operating and recording properly.
• Carrying out primary investigation on contamination Issues and providing contamination data to engineering for analysis.
• Carrying out primary investigation on contamination control analyzers.
• Completing special projects as well as supporting contamination control engineering projects.
• Ensuring team members are practicing approved cleanroom protocol.
• Acting as contamination control resources to the Fab, Probe, Facilities and other supporting groups.
• Be a contributing member in your areas of responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Material Diploma is preferred orrelated field of study
• Candidiates without experience are welcome to apply
• Must be able to work in cleanroom environment
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse variety of people.
• Basic proficiency in PC skills, including MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic knowledge of analytical technique, such as Ion chromatography, gas chromatography and particle analyzers, etc. is a plus
• Must be able to work a 12-hourly shift and open to night shift
