Job summary

Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations Pte Ltd invites applications for a contamination control engineer to support Fab and FOUP environment management in Singapore. You will respond to alarms, monitor real-time systems, conduct investigations, and collaborate with engineering to improve contamination control and process efficiency.

Bachelor’s degree in chemical/environmental engineering or chemistry is required; cleanroom work, strong analytical skills, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical/environmental engineering/chemistry.
  • Must be able to work in cleanroom environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse variety of people.
  • Basic proficiency in software skills, such as MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of analytical techniques such as ion chromatography, gas chromatography and particle analyzers is a plus.
  • Must be able to work swing shift.
  • Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to ERT and Security alerts, ensuring gowning room logistics are adequate during evacuations.
  • Address contamination alarms and report abnormal conditions to engineering and stakeholders.
  • Sample various areas of the Fab and FOUP Environment for contamination, collaborate with the chemical lab for timely analysis.
  • Ensure real-time monitoring systems are operating and recording properly.
  • Conduct primary investigations on contamination issues and provide data to engineering for analysis.
  • Complete special projects and support contamination control engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure team members practice approved cleanroom protocols.
  • Serve as a contamination control resource for the Fab, Probe, Facilities, and supporting groups.
  • Contribute actively to areas of responsibility.
  • Establish and improve process conditions and technology.
  • Upgrade process capability and reduce production costs.
  • Develop and modify process management projects.
  • Set up process parameters for various semiconductor equipment.
  • Evaluate, promote, and plan new equipment/materials.
  • Analyze and improve abnormal conditions in the Fab and FOUP environment control.
  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness.
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

  • Must be able to work in cleanroom environment
