Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Contamination Control Technician to join our FAB 10 environment quality control team in Singapore. You will perform environmental samplings, contamination troubleshooting, and sensor maintenance to prevent contamination in the manufacturing process.

Your duties include responding to alarms, coordinating with engineering and labs, ensuring real-time monitoring, and supporting various groups with contamination data and cleanroom compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
• Basic PC skills with MS Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts including night shifts
• Knowledge of analytical techniques such as ion chromatography, gas chromatography and particle analyzers

Responsibilities

• Responding to ERT and Security alerts and ensuring gowning room logistics are adequate when evacuation occurs.
• Responding to contamination alarms and reporting abnormal conditions to engineering and stake holders.
• Sampling various fab areas for contamination (swab, bacteria, airborne and liquid particles and airborne molecular contamination).
• Coordinate with chemical lab for sample analysis and timely data retrieval.
• Ensure real-time monitoring systems are operating and recording properly.
• Conduct primary investigations on contamination issues and provide data to engineering.
• Investigate contamination control analyzers and support projects as needed.
• Ensure team members follow approved cleanroom protocol.
• Act as contamination control resources to Fab, Probe, Facilities and other groups.

Job Description

At Micron, we offer an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious Contamination Control Technician to join our diverse team at FAB 10. As a key player in the environment quality control sector, you will collaborate with Facilities, Equipment, Fab support, Production Teams and area engineering teams. Your role will involve environmental samplings, quality control checks, contamination troubleshooting, state-of-the-art sensors maintenance to prevent environment/chemical contamination (such as particle, airborne molecular contamination, liquid particle contamination) to the manufacturing process. You will consistently adhere to world-class standards and successfully implement coordinated reaction mechanism to prevent fab excursion.

Responsibilities

• Responding to ERT and Security alerts and ensuring that gowning room logistics are adequate when evacuation occurs.
• Responding to contamination alarms and reporting abnormal conditions to engineering and other stake holders.
• Sampling various areas of the Fab for contamination (swab, bacteria, airborne and liquid particles and airborne molecular contamination) and working with the chemical lab to have the samples analyzed and obtaining the data in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that real time monitoring systems are Operating and recording properly.
• Carrying out primary investigation on contamination Issues and providing contamination data to engineering for analysis.
• Carrying out primary investigation on contamination control analyzers.
• Completing special projects as well as supporting contamination control engineering projects.
• Ensuring team members are practicing approved cleanroom protocol.
• Acting as contamination control resources to the Fab, Probe, Facilities and other supporting groups.
• Be a contributing member in your areas of responsibilities.

Requirements

• Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Material Diploma is preferred or related field of study
• Candidiates without experience are welcome to apply
• Must be able to work in cleanroom environment
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse variety of people.
• Basic proficiency in PC skills, including MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solve abilities.
• Basic knowledge of analytical technique, such as Ion chromatography, gas chromatography and particle analyzers, etc. is a plus
• Must be able to work a 12-hourly shift and open to night shift
