Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton Residential Management Company of Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a diligent facilities engineer to maintain and repair building systems across our residences. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to codes, and proactive maintenance to ensure superior guest and resident experiences.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, assist senior staff, and participate in safety exercises to uphold Marriott standards and protect assets.

Qualifications

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment.
• Teamwork and willingness to work with others.
• Knowledge of Hotel/Residences maintenance and management preferred.
• Knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing and building engineering.
• Electrical control and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to sound engineering practices, building codes and safety precautions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Execute preventive management and repair schedules for machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair or replace defective systems or components.
• Use Lockout/Tagout before performing maintenance work.
• Daily routine checks of pump room, consumer switch room, and MDF rooms.
• Assist supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department.
• Perform repairs such as changing light bulbs in common areas and amenity spaces.
• Participate in fire-fighting and safety & fire evacuation exercises.
• Address Residence owners’ concerns professionally and promptly.

Position Summary

• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication, visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• To execute preventive management and repair schedules of the machinery, equipment, and facilities of our residences
• Inspect and maintain machinery, troubleshoots, diagnoses, repair or replaces defective systems or components.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
• Daily routine check of the pump room, consumer switch room, MDF rooms.
• Assist supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department.
• Perform repairs such as changing light bulbs in the common areas and amenity spaces
• Participate in fire-fighting and safety & fire evacuation exercises.
• Address Residence owners’ in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
• Actively listen and respond positively to the Residence owners questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific process to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.
• To ensure that our residents are satisfied with the quality of services rendered by the Engineering Department
• To ensure that our assets within the residences are kept in good working condition, thereby preserving its long term value.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials.
• To comply with Marriott standards in terms of maintenance upkeep & Fire Life Safety.

Job Requirements

• Basic skills in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of building equipments.
• Willingness to work as a team.
• Knowledge of Hotel / Residences Maintenance and Management is preferred.
• Knowledge of Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing & Building Engineering.
• Electrical control & trouble-shooting skills.
