Job summary

The Ascott Limited in Singapore is seeking a Technician, Engineering to oversee general maintenance and minor repairs of equipment and facilities in our Serviced Residence, collaborating with Guest Service and Housekeeping to ensure a smooth stay. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect machinery, respond to maintenance requests, and report to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements include at least 2 years of relevant experience and a NITEC in Electrical/Mechanical/Aircon Maintenance,

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Aircon Maintenance or equivalent vocational qualification.
• Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance related technical skills.
• Willingness to perform shift work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building’s physical condition; ensure HVAC, lighting, and ventilation are in good condition.
• Perform general maintenance such as painting, patching walls, plumbing, air-conditioning servicing, electrical work and related tasks.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance programmes.
• Inspect and check building machinery and equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requisitions and residents’ requests to ensure quality service.

Technician,Engineering

You will oversee the general maintenance and minor repairs of equipment, facilities in our Serviced Residence. You will have close collaborations with colleagues from the different departments including Guest Service and Housekeeping to provide a smooth stay for all our residents. You will report directly to the Manager or Assistant Manager, Engineering.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Maintain good physical conditions of the building and ensure that its heating, lighting and ventilation are of good working condition
• Conduct general maintenance works such as, painting, patching of walls, plumbing facilities, air-conditioning servicing, electrical switches and other fixtures and equipment to ensure smooth operations
• Perform routine preventive maintenance programme
• Check and inspect the building’s machinery and equipment
• Respond and prioritize maintenance requisitions (MWO) and residents’ requests to ensure they receive quality service and furnishings
• Perform related tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

You have:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Attained at least a NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Aircon Maintenance, or an equivalent vocational qualification
• Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance related technical skills
• Willingness to perform shift
