Job summary

You will disassemble, inspect, and reassemble to OEM standards, and perform precision measurements to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role requires 5+ years in compressor repair or rotating equipment maintenance and the ability to read drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of hands-on compressor repair experience.
• Experience in overhaul and repair of screw and centrifugal compressors and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, engineering specs, and assembly procedures.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and refurbishment of industrial compressors and related equipment to extend asset life.
• Disassemble, inspect, overhaul, repair and reassemble compressors including airends.
• Perform dimensional inspections and determine component condition.
• Repair and refurbish equipment per OEM standards and procedures.
• Bearings replacement, rotor inspection, shaft measurements, and precision assembly.
• Troubleshoot compressor performance and mechanical issues.
• Prepare inspection reports and recommend repair actions.
• Support testing and performance verification after overhaul.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational requirements.
• Assist in expanding in-house repair capabilities to reduce outsourcing costs.

Job description

This role will support repair, overhaul, and refurbishment activities for compressor and rotating equipment components. The selected incumbent will specialize in the inspection, overhaul, repair, and assembly of compressor airends and rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working on screw compressors, centrifugal compressors, or other industrial rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support overhaul and refurbishment activities for industrial compressors and associated equipment to extend asset life
• Perform complete disassembly, inspection, overhaul, repair, and reassembly of compressor, including airends.
• Conduct dimensional inspections and condition assessments of critical compressor components.
• Repair and refurbish equipment in accordance with OEM standards and repair procedures.
• Perform bearing replacement, rotor inspection, shaft measurements, and precision assembly work.
• Troubleshoot compressor performance and mechanical issues.
• Prepare inspection reports and recommend repair actions.
• Support testing and performance verification after overhaul activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational requirements.
• Support the expansion of in-house repair capabilities to reduce outsourcing costs.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering or related field with minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in compressor repair, overhaul, or rotating equipment maintenance.
• Proven experience in overhaul and repair, screw compressor assembly and repair, centrifugal compressor assembly and repair and rotating equipment maintenance
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, and assembly procedures.
• Strong knowledge of bearings, clearances, alignment, and mechanical tolerances.
• Experience in the compressor industry is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
