Job summary

AIRCOND. NETWORK PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform maintenance, repair, overhaul, installation, troubleshooting, and alignment of pumps, chillers, cooling tower equipment, and other rotating machinery in our facilities in Singapore.

The role covers bearing and mechanical seal replacement, shaft alignment, and ensuring HVAC and chiller systems operate safely and efficiently. Candidates should have 2–5 years of relevant experience and a mechanical engineering qualification.

Qualifications

• ITI, NITEC, Diploma or equivalent Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• 2–5 years experience in pumps, chillers, HVAC, or rotating equipment maintenance.
• Skilled in bearing replacement, mechanical seal replacement, pump overhauls, and shaft alignment.
• Ability to read drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
• Good teamwork, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, overhaul, install and align pumps, chillers, and rotating equipment.
• Carry out bearing and mechanical seal replacements and inspections.
• Perform laser or dial indicator shaft alignment and document readings.
• Support chiller maintenance and commissioning activities.
• Diagnose faults and prepare service reports.
• Follow safety regulations, risk assessments and permit-to-work requirements.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and use of PPE.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician is responsiblefor carrying out maintenance, repair, overhaul, installation, troubleshooting,and alignment of pumps, motors, chillers, cooling tower equipment, and otherrotating machinery. The role includes bearing replacement, mechanical sealreplacement, chiller shaft seal replacement, precision shaft alignment, andensuring all HVAC and chiller systems operate safely and efficiently.

Pump Maintenance and Overhaul

• Dismantle, inspect, repair, andreassemble chilled water, condenser water, and centrifugal pumps.
• Replace bearings, sleeves, wearrings, couplings, gaskets, and mechanical seals.
• Perform complete pump overhaulsand testing after repairs.
• Troubleshoot vibration, noise,overheating, leakage, and performance issues.

Bearing Replacement

• Remove and install pump andmotor bearings using proper tools and methods.
• Check bearing fits, clearances,lubrication, and shaft condition.
• Identify root causes of bearingfailures.

Mechanical Seal Replacement

• Replace mechanical seals onpumps and rotating equipment.
• Inspect seal chambers, shafts,sleeves, and seal faces.
• Conduct leakage checks andcommissioning after replacement.

Shaft Alignment

• Perform laser alignment anddial indicator alignment on pumps, motors, fans, and chillers.
• Correct soft foot andmisalignment conditions.
• Document alignment readings andreports.

Chiller Maintenance

• Perform preventive andcorrective maintenance on water-cooled and air-cooled chillers.
• Replace chiller shaft seals andcarry out alignment of associated equipment.
• Inspect couplings, shafts,bearings, and drive assemblies.
• Assist in shutdowns, overhauls,and commissioning activities.

Troubleshooting and Inspection

• Diagnose mechanical faults andrecommend corrective actions.
• Conduct routine inspection ofHVAC and chiller plant equipment.
• Prepare service reports andmaintenance records.

Safety Requirements

• Follow all safety regulations,risk assessments, and permit-to-work requirements.
• Use proper PPE and maintaingood housekeeping practices.
