Job summary

AVANZ ASIA PTE. LTD. in Singapore is expanding its engineering team and seeks a Mechanical Engineering Technician to maintain and repair MEWP and warehouse equipment, including lithium-powered systems.

The role is based at Tuas / West Region and involves hands-on work with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, fault troubleshooting, and on-site deployment while ensuring safety compliance and high equipment availability for

Qualifications

• ITE/Nitec or Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field
• Equivalent accredited engineering qualification
• Fresh graduates with relevant ITE/Poly qualifications welcome
• Minimum 1–2 years of mechanical/electrical maintenance preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MEWP (boom lifts, scissor lifts, vertical lifts)
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Service and repair warehouse equipment (pallet trucks, stackers, reach trucks, forklifts)
• Conduct equipment inspections, functional testing and safety checks
• Assist in installation, commissioning and on-site deployment of equipment
• Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare service reports, maintenance logs and inspection checklists
• Ensure compliance with WSH regulations and manufacturer guidelines
• Support rental operations by ensuring equipment readiness
• Provide basic technical assistance to customers when required

We are expanding our engineering team and seeking dedicated Mechanical Engineering Technicians who want to grow their skills in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems while working with advanced lithium‑powered industrial equipment.

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and commissioning of MEWP and warehouse equipment. You will work with lithium boom lifts, scissor lifts, pallet trucks, stackers, reach trucks, forklifts and mobile energy systems. This role is hands‑on, technical and essential to ensuring equipment reliability and safety for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MEWP (boom lifts, scissor lifts, vertical lifts).

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.

• Service and repair warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, stackers, reach trucks and forklifts.

• Conduct equipment inspections, functional testing and safety checks.

Requirements

Qualifications

• ITE Nitec / Higher Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related fields OR

• Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering OR

• Equivalent accredited engineering qualification.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred.

• Fresh graduates with relevant ITE/Poly qualifications are welcome.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and electrical circuits.

• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

• Experience with industrial equipment servicing is an advantage.
