Job summary

A service provider for automatic doors in Singapore is looking for a Technician to service, maintain, and repair automatic and manual door systems. The ideal candidate will have relevant Mechanical or Electrical certifications and prior experience in the field. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, conducting preventive maintenance, and participating in on-call rotations. Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility are essential, with the ability to converse in Mandarin being a plus.

Technician (Automatic Doors)

Location: Kallang

⏰ Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm

Industry: Automatic Doors Industry

Salary: Up to S$3000 + Up to S$500 Transport Allowances + Additional Allowances & Incentives + Bonus + VB

Job Scope:
  • Service, Maintain and Repair automatic and manual door systems (sliding doors, swing doors, revolving doors and etc) and associated hardware (Access-control panels, sensors and wiring and etc)
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform root-cause analysis, execute timely repairs or replacements, and conduct preventive maintenance.
  • Respond to customer service call-outs (breakdowns, emergency faults), sometimes outside normal hours; participate in on-call or rotational standby schedule.
  • Assist the operations team on inventory operations, including receiving, issuing, storing and updating stock records with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain an organised, clean, and safe warehouse environment to support operational readiness.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth stock flow, proper documentation and availability of required materials and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Candidates holding Mechanical, Electrical, or M&E-related certifications (i.e. Degrees, Diplomas, WSQ courses, LEW qualifications, or other recognised technical credentials) are preferred.
  • Prior experience in servicing, maintaining or installing automatic door systems, manual doors, or access-control systems is preferred.
  • Candidates with relevant mechanical or electrical background, such as experience in M&E works, are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong problem solving skills, attention to details, and the ability to work independently
  • Good Organizational and documentation abilities - maintain service records, stock inventory, logs for maintenance and compliance.
  • Flexibility to participate in shift, on-call, or after-hours service rotations as needed
  • Class 3 license will be preferred.
  • Ability to converse in mandarin to support Chinese-speaking clients.
