Ingersoll Rand in Singapore is seeking a skilled Electrical Field Service Engineer to support repair, overhaul, and refurbishment of compressor and rotating equipment. You will specialize in electrical troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of compressor systems, control panels, and related equipment.

The role requires a background in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of relevant field service experience, with hands-on experience in DBs, MCCs, VFDs, and PLC controls.

Qualifications

• Background in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial electrical or field service experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with electrical control cubicles, distribution boards (DB), inverter drives/variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLC controls and industrial automation systems.

Responsabilités

• Support overhaul and refurbishment activities for industrial compressors and associated equipment to extend asset life.
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and commissioning of compressor electrical systems and controls to ensure operational reliability.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in electrical panels, distribution boards (DB), MCCs, control cubicles, and inverter drives to minimize downtime.
• Conduct electrical inspections and functional testing of equipment to verify compliance with technical standards.
• Perform wiring, modifications, and upgrades to electrical control systems to enhance system performance.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide maintenance and repair tasks.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of electrical faults.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and local regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Preferred competencies and qualifications
