Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Singapore is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support overhaul, refurbishment and commissioning of compressor systems and rotating equipment. You will diagnose faults, troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs, install and test control panels, and ensure compliance with safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with maintenance teams, interpret schematics, and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence of electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial electrical or field service experience.
• Hands-on experience with electrical control cubicles, DBs, VFDs, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support overhaul and refurbishment of industrial compressors and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support overhaul and refurbishment activities for industrial compressors and associated equipment to extend asset life
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and commissioning of compressor electrical systems and controls to ensure operational reliability
• Diagnose and rectify faults in electrical panels, distribution boards (DB), motor control centers (MCCs), control cubicles, and inverter drives to minimize downtime
• Conduct electrical inspections and functional testing of equipment to verify compliance with technical standards
• Perform wiring, modifications, and upgrades to electrical control systems to enhance system performance
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide maintenance and repair tasks
• Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of electrical faults
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and local regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Preferred Competencies And Qualifications

• Experience in compressor systems, rotating equipment, or industrial machinery to support specialized maintenance tasks
• Familiarity with PLC controls and industrial automation systems to assist in system integration and troubleshooting
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve complex electrical issues
