Electrical & Testing Engineer – Industrial Air Compressors

Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Singapore seeks an Electrical & Testing Engineer to perform inspection, diagnosis, repair, testing, and commissioning of air compressor electrical/control systems at the RTC. You will support testing and quality assurance to ensure rebuilt compressors meet OEM specs.

The role requires collaboration with global engineering teams, detailed reporting, and adherence to safety and quality standards to deliver reliable equipment for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years in industrial electrical maintenance, testing, overhaul, or repair.
• Experience with air compressors, rotating equipment, motors, drives and control systems preferred.
• Experience with FAT, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting in industrial environments.
• Authorized to perform electrical testing and commissioning per local requirements.
• Fluent collaboration in English; Mandarin beneficial for cross-border work.

Responsibilities

• Electrical inspection, repair, and overhaul of electrical systems for air compressors.
• Diagnose faults in motors, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, sensors and safety devices.
• Develop electrical repair recommendations and perform repairs per OEM standards.
• Develop and execute electrical testing procedures; FAT, functional tests, and quality inspections.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with engineering teams across sites.
• Maintain repair records, testing reports, and engineering documentation.
