Job summary

Soon Xing Engineering in Singapore is seeking a skilled automotive technician to perform maintenance, repair and overhaul on heavy vehicles. You will diagnose engine and transmission issues and strive for minimal turnaround time while meeting service standards.

Eligible candidates have Higher Nitec in Automotive Technology, good English, and at least 3 years’ automotive repair experience. A Class 3 licence is a plus; you will work 7:30am–5:15pm, six days a week, with 5S compliance and

Qualifications

• Academic qualification: At least Higher Nitec in Automotive Technology or equivalent.
• Competent in basic English (verbal & written).
• At least 3 years of experience in automotive service repair.
• Possession of Class 3 driving licence is an added advantage.
• 6 days work (Mon-Sat).
• Working hours: 7:30am–5:15pm.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repair and overhaul work on heavy vehicles.
• Perform major repairs on engines and transmissions with diagnostics.
• Minimize turnaround time for scheduled repairs and inspections.
• Notify Team Leader of unusual repair problems and parts recommendations.
• Complete work orders and record mileage, parts and fault codes in service reports.
• Adhere to safety, orderliness and quality guidelines.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with Aftersales service.
• Carry out recall/warranty work as documented by MAN.
• Maintain 5S compliance and assist as required by supervisor.

Job description

Carry out maintenance, repair and overhaul work on heavyvehicles, has diagnostic capability and able to perform major repair on engineand transmission

Ensure high standard of workmanship and minimize turnaroundtime for scheduled repairs and inspections to meet workshop’s service standardsand according to job order.

Notify Team Leader of unusual repair problems which willrequire major repair and replacement parts recommendation.

Complete work order for each vehicle and unit serviced.

Adhere to defined guidelines in regards tosafety,orderliness and etc.

To ensure overall customer satisfaction with Company’sAftersales service

Diligent recording of all info in service report(mileage,parts list, fault codes, etc)

Carry out recall /warranty job as documented by MAN

Ensure 5S compliance

Other functions as required by superior

Requirements:
