Job summary

MCI Career Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to service and repair heavy trucks at our Tuas workshop. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure work meets manufacturer standards.

The role requires a Nitec in automotive engineering and 3–5 years of hands-on experience with engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. You will read circuit diagrams and use a multimeter.

Qualifications

• Nitec in automotive engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy trucks.
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical/electronic components.
• Ability to read vehicle electrical circuit diagrams and use a multimeter.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting and workshop quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for heavy trucks.
• Carry out overhaul repairs, recommend parts, and ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and company quality procedures.
• Complete work orders accurately, record repair details and time, and update the Team Leader on progress and requirements.
• Maintain a safe, organized workshop by following health & safety guidelines, warranty procedures, company policies, and support fellow technicians when required.

Job Overview

• Located at Tuas

• S$2,300 – S$4,300 basic (depending on experience)

• Overtime: Average 35 hours/month (approximately S$800 additional OT pay)

• Performance Bonus: Provided

• Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Alternate Saturday, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repair, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for heavy trucks, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

• Carry out overhaul repairs, recommend required parts, and ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and company quality procedures.

• Complete work orders accurately, record repair details and time, and update the Team Leader on repair progress and requirements.

• Maintain a safe, organized workshop by following health & safety guidelines, warranty procedures, company policies, and support fellow technicians when required.

Skills / Experience Required

• Nitec in automotive engineering and relevant discipline

• 3–5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy trucks

• Knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical/electronic components.

• Ability to read vehicle electrical circuit diagrams and use a multimeter for basic electrical diagnostics.

• Familiarity with troubleshooting, overhaul repairs, and workshop quality standards.
