Job summary

Sime Motors in Singapore is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to service and repair vehicles, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and BMW standards where applicable. You’ll report to the workshop foreman and coordinate with the Parts Clerk to order parts, aiming to complete jobs efficiently and within set time frames.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in automotive trade, hold NTC 3/2 or NITEC in Automotive Technology (Light Vehicle), possess a valid Class 3 driving license, and communicate

Qualifications

• Read and speak English fluently.
• 3–4 years’ experience in automotive trade service/repair.
• NTC 3/2 or NITEC in Automotive Technology (Light Vehicle).
• Valid Class3 driving license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct service and repair work in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and report to workshop foreman/Technical Executive when technical assistance is required.
• Carry out all repair jobs required on job cards, following manufacturer standards, and liaise with Parts Clerk when ordering spare parts.
• Complete repair jobs within the specified time given by the BMW flat‑rate manual to meet monthly efficiency and productivity targets.
• Ensure all warranty parts are packed and tagged with proper information before returning to the Parts Department.
• Maintain work bay, workstations and hand tools in a clean and organized condition.
