Job summary

ASM is seeking a skilled trainer to shape technician development by designing programs, frameworks, and hands-on content that drive product quality and delivery efficiency. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure every technician succeeds.

You will design and administer on-the-job training, lead the workmanship program for new hires, and continuously improve training facilities, ensuring structured development paths across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in capital equipment manufacturing or semiconductor equipment engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with assembly and testing of electro-mechanical systems.
• Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• ACTA/ACLP or equivalent certification in training design and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical training programs to support critical tasks and improve delivery quality and efficiency.
• Build and maintain competency frameworks and assessment matrices for technician certification.
• Administer on-job training (OJT) and ensure compliance with structured development paths.
• Present training progress, metrics, and outcomes to internal stakeholders.
• Create training courseware, collaborate with SMEs, and provide constructive feedback on improvements.
• Lead the workmanship training program for new hire technicians.
• Maintain and continuously improve training facilities and infrastructure.
• Support or lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects.
