Job summary

Teradyne in Singapore is seeking a Technical Specialist for a 12-hour shift to install and set up new machines, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on automated testing systems, and publish shift reports. You will work with engineers and production teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualified candidates have a Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronic or related field, with 5–10 years in automation (or 0–5 years for juniors).

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of automation-related experience preferred.
• 0-5 years of automation experience preferred for juniors.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Be able to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts with OT.

• Continuously improving troubleshooting methods and processes.

• Strong understanding of mechatronic fundamentals
  • 60% : Solid knowledge of mechanical principles such as bearings, gearboxes, actuators, and pneumatic systems.
  • 20% : knowledge of electrical fundamentals, including AC/DC principles, power distribution, protective devices, and grounding
  • 20% : Knowledge of electronics fundamentals, including sensors, transducers, and analog/digital signals.
• Ability to use AI tools (preferably Microsoft solutions) or excel to analyze the data.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Solid presentation skills and effective communication in English.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively as part of a team to achieve objectives.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
• Operate process equipment, instrumentation and other equipment related to the production according to the work instructions.
• Be able to work rotating day and night shift (12-hours) with OT
