Job summary

Pepperl+Fuchs Vertrieb Deutschland GmbH is hiring a Technical Specialist to ensure equipment readiness across manufacturing orders within a TPU. You will set up machines, perform changeovers, verify first-piece quality, and collaborate with Production and Support teams to resolve issues on the line.

The role requires hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, SMT/PCBA environments, and a strong focus on 5S/safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics or Manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience operating and supporting manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with SMT/PCBA environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confirm availability of equipment and processes; verify readiness.
• Coordinate with Production, M+S, QM, IE, FM on readiness when needed.
• Perform equipment setup, change-overs and corrections per documentation; record changes.
• Perform buy-off / first-piece verification to ensure readiness and quality.
• Report and escalate issues related to equipment, processes and material.
• Support equipment relocation or new line setup during production layout changes.
• Act as intermediary between Service Teams and Production Operators/Specialists.
• Maintain 5S and safety standards across the line.
• Perform simple ad-hoc maintenance tasks as per docs.

As we continue to grow, we are excited to welcome a new team member for the following position:Technical SpecialistRole Purpose:Ensuring the readiness and availability of the equipment (machines, fixtures, tools, adapters, work stations,test systems, etc.), processes (assembly, test, molding, cable harnessing, etc.) and material (confirm preparation, form factor, visual, etc.) from one Manufacturing Order (MO) to another Manufacturing Orderand beyond within a Total Production Unit (TPU).Role Responsibilities:Confirming / verifying on the availability of equipment and processesCommunicating and work directly with relevant teams (Production, M+S, QM, IE, FM …) on the readiness of equipment and processes when neededPerforming equipment and process setup, change-over and correction as per documentation and procedure, follow production plan independently. Record setup, change-over and correctionsPerforming buy-off / 1st piece verification to confirm the readiness of the equipment, the process and the material to meet the quality requirement and adherence to documentsReporting / escalating and following up all issues (including deviations) related to equipment, processes and material to relevant teams for the support, which cannot be corrected by the setterSupporting equipment relocation / new line setup during production re-layout activitiesBeing the intermediary person between Service Teams + Production Operators / Production SpecialistsMaintaining the 5S and Safety (adhering to requirements of cleanliness for equipment)Continuous supervision and monitoring of Production Technology Processes (based on documentation / minimum requirements)Production Setter replace worn out parts and follow-up with M+S on parts availability (M+S is responsible for re-ordering and replenishment / replacement)Performing simple ad-hoc maintenance tasks (screw is loose / small repairs / replacement of worn-out parts) as per documentationPerforming any other works or projects as assigned by the superiorKnows how to operate the machine/tester and clear machine stoppages and alarms safelyAccountable for the line’s overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to meet production and efficiency targetsCapable of conducting machine readiness and adherence checks and performing first-level troubleshooting to resolve operational issuesRole Requirements:Minimum Nitec in Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics/ ManufacturingExperience operating and supporting manufacturing equipment and production processesHands-on experience in machine setup, changeovers & 1st-piece verification/buy-offProven track record in 1st-level troubleshooting & alarm clearingExperience in SMT (surface mount technology) or PCBA environments is strongly preferredProven track record in 1st-level troubleshooting & alarm clearingAre you excited about this opportunity?
