Job summary

JDA WMS Pte Ltd seeks a Technical Project Manager to drive end-to-end NPI and technical project management for connectors. You will lead from planning to mass production ramp-up and align cross-functional teams across R&D, tooling, process, QA, production, and supply chain to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in TPM/NPI, strong reading of drawings, and hands-on experience with cable assemblies. Willingness to travel ~30% to China/US is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• 3+ years TPM/NPI/Project Engineer experience in connectors or precision electronics.
• 5–10+ years experience with a cable assembly background.
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings; GD&T is a plus.
• Proficient in FMEA, SPC, 8D, DOE.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the customer technical interface, handling reviews, sample approvals, audits, and project reporting.
• Lead end-to-end NPI from planning and sample builds through trial runs and mass production ramp-up.
• Own cross-functional alignment across R&D, tooling, process, QA, production, and supply chain, managing risk.
• Support process development and qualification for stamping, molding, assembly, and testing.
• Conduct DFM, drawing reviews, tolerance analysis, and ECN implementation for process optimization.
• Apply 8D, 5Why, SPC, DOE, and MSA methodologies to resolve yield and quality issues.
• Drive standardization, capability building, and documentation.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive end-to-end NPI and technical project management for connectors, covering new product development, validation, mass production, and customer alignment to ensure on-time, on-cost, high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the customer technical interface, handling reviews, sample approvals, audits, and project reporting
• Lead end-to-end NPI, from project planning and sample builds through trial runs and mass production ramp-up
• Own cross-functional alignment across R&D, tooling, process, QA, production, and supply chain, managing risk
• Support process development and qualification for stamping, molding, assembly, and testing
• Conduct DFM, drawing reviews, tolerance analysis, and ECN implementation for process optimization
• Apply 8D, 5Why, SPC, DOE, and MSA methodologies to resolve yield and quality issues
• Drive standardization, capability building, and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Automation, Tooling, Materials Engineering, or related field
• At least 3 years' experience as a TPM/NPI/Project Engineer in the connector or precision electronics industry
• Strong knowledge of connector design and manufacturing, with ability to read 2D/3D drawings; GD&T is a plus
• Proficient in FMEA, SPC, 8D, DOE and related quality engineering tools
• Skilled in Office/Project, with Creo/SolidWorks/CAD experience preferred
• Good English reading/writing ability for customer-facing and documentation work
• Willingness to travel to China and the US (approximately 30% of the time)
• 5–10+ years' experience with a cable assembly background
• Experience with top connector manufacturers, overseas consumer electronics clients, or direct global customer liaison
• Familiarity with IPD/PDP development processes and Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification
• Experience in automated production line planning and new process/material introduction
