Job summary

SETSCO Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a site technician to perform on-site visual inspections and load testing in compliance with MOM guidelines. You will liaise with authorised examiners to witness and renew certificates and conduct site visits to address clients’ enquiries.

The role requires a Nitec/ Diploma in Engineering or related field, willingness to work outdoors, basic machinery knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Nitec/ Diploma in Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience or training in welding is advantageous.
• Training will be provided for candidates with no experience.
• Independent, analytical, and good interpersonal skills required.
• Willing to work outdoors; site experience advantageous.
• Basic understanding of machinery required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Valid local driving licence (motorcycle/car) holder; Class 4 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site visual inspection and load testing per MOM or guidelines.
• Liaise with authorised examiners to witness and renew certificates.
• Perform site visits and handle client enquiries.
• Ensure site safety compliance.
• Report site observations to supervisors.
• Data entry, compile and generate test reports.
• Maintain equipment maintenance and timely calibration.
• Maintain records of equipment usage and documents (test reports).
• Perform housekeeping and storage of equipment.
• Coordinate projects and site activities.
• Assist with office admin tasks when no site work.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• Liaise with authorised examiners to perform the witnessing and certificate renewal
• Perform site visits and handle clients' enquiries
• Ensure full compliance to site safety requirements
• Reports site observations & findings to supervisors
• Data entry, compilation and generation of test reports
• Ensure equipment is well maintained and calibrated in a timely manner
• Maintain proper records of equipment usage and documents (e.g. test reports)
• Perform proper house keeping activities such as handling and storage of equipment
• Project and site coordination
• Miscellaneous office admin tasks when there is no site work
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

• Nitec/ Diploma of Engineering or related field
• Candidates who are trained or experienced in welding will have advantage
• For candidates with no experience, training will be provided
• Independent, strong analytical ability and good interpersonal skills
• Willing to work in outdoor environment. Candidates with experience working at sites will have advantage
