Job summary

Kmc O and M in Singapore seeks a seasoned Power Plant Operations Leader to oversee HSE culture and ensure legal compliance across Power Plants.

The role focuses on MOC governance within Quality Management, driving reliability, outage leadership, and technical problem solving for modern combined cycle plants in a multicultural, high-demand environment.

You will mentor teams, liaison with LTSA contractors and stakeholders, and guide maintenance planning to maximize availability and performance.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory 15 years relevant power plant-related technical experience in Operations and/or Maintenance.
  • Bachelor or Masters engineering degree from an accredited university.
  • Additional qualifications in Management Administration, Safety, Project, Emergency or Quality Management would be an advantage.
  • Sound experience in erection, commissioning and initial start-up phases of a modern Power Station.
  • Sound understanding of Combined Cycle Power Station setup and O&M activities.
  • Knowledge of Control and Instrumentations of Power Plants.
  • Knowledge on Combined Cycle performance analysis and optimisation.
  • Strong Health, Safety and Environmental, and Quality Management practices.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage personnel during critical outage periods.
  • Ability to work in multicultural team and perform under stress.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation of sound HSE culture in the Power Plants.
  • Ensure legal compliance on all activities in the Power Plants with respect to Health and Safety, industrial requirements and statutory requirements etc.
  • Ensure MOC activities are managed, controlled and documented through the Quality Management system.
  • Support the Team to achieve highest level of reliability of the Power Plants.
  • Support the Team during un-availability scenarios to ensure fast recovery of the Power Plants.
  • Identify, propose and implement process improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Analyse technical problems in the Power Plants and propose and implement solutions to prevent or mitigate the consequences.
  • Analyse Power Plants incidents and propose corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Monitor proactively Power Plants Operations to anticipate technical problems.
  • Support to develop and implement tools that enable better monitoring of Power Plants, Systems and Equipment performance.
  • Support the Team in the preparation and execution of the Planned Maintenance.
  • Provide managerial guidance, direction, develop and motivate Power Plants Team.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders for daily operative issues.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure reliable and efficient operation of the Power Plants.
  • Liaise with third party stakeholders, LTSA Contractors, to fulfil contractual requirements.

  • Ability to support the Team on “ad hoc” basis to guarantee highest level of availability of the Power Plants.
