Job summary

DRAGON TECH PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned engineer to act as the technical lead in customer meetings, workshops, and proposal presentations.

You will review and coordinate internal engineering support for tenders and guide multi-disciplinary teams through turn-key bids and RFQ/RFP responses. You will develop technical solutions, coordinate with procurement on equipment selection, and ensure high-quality, compliant proposals.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; process or mechanical preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with various project teams and managers (PMs) on the following areas:
• Act as the technical lead during customer meetings, workshops, and proposal presentations.
• Review, validate and coordinate engineering support from internal teams as well as bid management teams on tender stage.
• Lead engineering activities for turn-key bids, tenders, RFQs, and RFP responses.
• Develop conceptual designs, technical solutions, and project execution strategies.
• Be responsible for in house equipment selection and coordination with procurement for third party equipment.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs and ensure proposal quality and compliance.
• Support cost estimates, equipment selection, and vendor engagement.
• Maintains and enhances positive relationships with clients and all stakeholders.
• Identify and manage technical, commercial, and execution risks during the pursuit phase.
• Drive value engineering initiatives to improve solution competitiveness.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure smooth handover to project delivery teams following award.
• Support project delivery team on technical aspects during execution stage if required.
• In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be responsible for:
• Internal functional management, including resource planning, performance management, and career development of team members. This includes conducting employee assessments, developing succession and personal development plans, and identifying future organizational talent.

What we look for

• University degree in Engineering preferable Process or Mechanical Engineering, practical experience related to HVAC system, cleanrooms and exhaust abatement systems is beneficial.
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the construction sector, specifically in the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries.
• Experience in the overall system design, tendering, and value engineering processes.
• Knowledge of international design codes and standards.
• Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team with shared objectives. Prior experience in leading individuals to collaborate effectively is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of turn-key execution methodologies, cost estimation, procurement, and construction practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and customer-facing communication skills.
