Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Tech Lead (Java) to steer design and delivery of high-performance, secure banking applications in Singapore. You will mentor teams, partner with Product, Architecture, Security, and Operations to deliver mission-critical systems.

You will oversee end-to-end solution design, ensure quality, and drive observability, data integration, and compliant development practices within a regulated banking context.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of total experience, with 3+ years as Tech Lead in distributed systems.
• Experience leading agile delivery teams in banking or regulated environments.
• Deep expertise in Java/JVM, microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical design for Java-based microservices and APIs.
• Define and implement non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, resilience, observability, and security.
• Review and create technical designs (HLD/LLD) and promote clean architecture and DDD.
• Develop high-quality code using Java 11/17, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and guide secure-by-design practices.
• Drive CI/CD, automated testing, and modern deployment patterns (blue-green, canary).
• Establish shift-left testing, TDD/BDD, and contract tests.
