Job summary

Tribe, in collaboration with AngelHack Developer Labs, seeks a Technical Lead to guide a development team through the full lifecycle from design to deployment and support. This hands-on leadership role involves mentoring teammates and making key architectural decisions, with occasional on-site client visits.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of software development experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client projects using React Native, Flutter, and AWS

Qualifications

• Singapore Citizen, based in Singapore.
• 4–7 years of hands-on software development experience, with mentoring experience.
• Experience building mobile apps with React Native and/or Flutter.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles.
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
• Experience across the full SDLC (design, development, testing, deployment, support).
• Willingness to travel to client sites within Singapore.
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound technical decisions under time pressure.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're hiring hiring a Technical Lead for our sister company, AngelHack Developer Labs - a software delivery company building solutions for clients across web, mobile, and cloud. We are looking for a Technical Lead to guide a development team through the full project delivery lifecycle from technical design through implementation, deployment, and support. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone stepping up into their first or early team leadership role. You will make key technical stack and architecture decisions, mentor your team, and act as the technical point of contact for clients, including occasional on‑site visits to understand requirements or troubleshoot issues. You will be expected to work on multiple client projects, so strong prioritization and communication skills are just as important as technical depth.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor a small-to-medium development team through all phases of project delivery
• Make decisions on technical stack, architecture, and design approach for assigned projects, in consultation with senior stakeholders where needed
• Conduct code reviews and enforce good engineering practices within the team
• Provide hands‑on technical guidance and unblock the team when issues arise

Project Delivery

• Own technical delivery across the full project lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑launch support
• Manage technical delivery across multiple concurrent client projects, balancing priorities and timelines
• Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and delivery timelines are met
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle

Client Engagement

• Act as the technical point of contact for clients during and after project delivery
• Conduct on‑site visits to client offices (as needed, depending on project) to gather requirements, clarify issues, or troubleshoot problems
• Translate client requirements and issues into actionable technical solutions for the team

Team & Process

• Support hiring, onboarding, and skills development of junior/mid‑level team members
• Contribute to improving team development practices, coding standards, and delivery processes over time
• Report on project/technical status to management as needed

Requirements

• Singapore Citizen , based in Singapore
• 4–7 years of hands‑on software development experience , with some prior experience guiding or mentoring junior developers (first‑time team lead candidates welcome)
• Experience building mobile apps with React Native and/or Flutter
• Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles
• Hands‑on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
• Experience working across the full SDLC (design, development, testing, deployment, support)
• Comfortable working on and switching between multiple client projects
• Willingness to travel to client sites within Singapore as needed
• Good communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound technical decisions under time pressure

Good to Have

• Exposure to Red Hat OpenShift for container deployment
• Prior experience in a client‑facing technical role (consulting, system integration, or professional services)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum project delivery
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices
• Web3 experience (blockchain, smart contracts, dApps, crypto wallet integrations)
