Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented engineer/ trainer with a background in Electrical/Electronics and Mechanical Engineering. The role is based in Tuas, Singapore, with hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm. It is a 1-year contract with high renewal potential.

The successful candidate will travel 50%–80% to the Asia Pacific region after an initial 6-month training period and will receive company transport. Initial training lasts six months with no overseas travel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).

Responsibilities

• Support customers and channel engineers through technical and administrative activities.
• Understand customers' needs and concerns.
• Understand Indigo technology and resolve basic issues.
• Participate in ongoing trainings and escalations.
• Monitor equipment and perform preventative maintenance measures.
• Conduct quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment.
• Write reports and present findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.
• Monitor inventory and reorder materials when needed.

About the role

The role is a detail-oriented engineer position with a background in Electrical/Electronics and Mechanical Engineering. The Trainer is expected to be hands-on and work in an industrial environment with minimal supervision.

The position is based in Tuas (industrial setting) with working hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Duration: 1-year contract (highly renewable)

The first 6 months constitute a training period with no overseas travelling, after which overseas travelling of 50% - 80% to the Asia Pacific region is required. Company Transport is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Support customers and channel engineers through technical and administrative activities

• Understand customers' needs and concerns

• Understand how business's Indigo technology works and able to resolve basic issues

• Participate in ongoing trainings and escalations

• Monitor equipment and machinery performance and perform preventative maintenance measures

• Conduct quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment

• Write reports and present findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis

• Monitor inventory and reorder materials when needed
