Job summary

Lam Research Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Training Specialist to deliver comprehensive training for Field Service Engineers, customers, and internal teams across classroom, hands-on, VR, and remote formats. The role supports onboarding, material updates, and performance improvements within the SEA Training Center.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with complex semiconductor equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience in semiconductor fab, equipment supplier, or customer support environment is essential.
• Prior experience coaching, mentoring, or delivering technical training is advantageous.
• Experience in Wafer Frontend Etch/Deposition equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding of new Field Service Engineers and prepare them for certification.
• Review and improve training materials, labs, and assessments for quality and engagement.
• Collaborate with senior instructors, global teams, and SMEs to update content with product changes.
• Maintain technical expertise and stay current with product updates and service procedures.
• Support SEA Technical Training Center operations, including lab readiness and VR systems.

Job description

• Deliver technical training to Field Service Engineers, customers, and internal teams through classroom, hands-on, VR, and remote learning. Cover equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, qualification, and service procedures in accordance with approved standards and customer requirements
• Support onboarding of new Field Service Engineers by strengthening core fundamentals (electrical, vacuum, RF, mechanical, schematics, safety, and troubleshooting) and preparing them for certification and field readiness
• Review and improve training materials, lab exercises, and assessments to enhance content quality, relevance, and learner engagement
• Collaborate with senior instructors, global training teams, and SMEs to integrate product updates, service documentation changes, field feedback, and localized learning aids for SEA audiences
• Maintain technical expertise in assigned platforms, complete required certifications, and stay current with product updates, service procedures and field issues
• Support daily operations of the SEA Technical Training Center, including lab readiness, VR systems, equipment, tools, and classroom resources
• Ensure training facilities meet safety, quality, 6S, and audit requirements while supporting class setup, logistics, and closeout activities
• Partner with Field Service Managers and regional teams to identify training needs, capability gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities
• Promote a positive learning environment that encourages safe work practices, technical growth and continuous improvement
• Analyze learner feedback to improve training delivery, student experience, efficiency and overall effectiveness
• Contribute to VR, digital learning, AI-enabled onboarding, and other initiatives that support scalable training and regional growth
• Take on ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

Requirement:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline with more than 5 years experience in semiconductor equipment service, technical support, manufacturing, process engineering, equipment engineering, or related technical field
• Hands-on experience with complex equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, or qualification
• Experience working in a semiconductor fab, equipment supplier, or customer support environment is essential
• Prior experience coaching, mentoring, conducting OJT, or delivering technical training is advantageous
• Prior experience in Wafer Frontend Semiconductor Etch and/or Deposition Equipment is required
