Job summary

KR+D Pte Ltd, part of Kingsmen Creatives Ltd, is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Designer to join the Retail team. You will translate concepts into buildable drawings and support site inspections to ensure design intent.

You will collaborate with designers, project managers, consultants, and contractors, maintaining drawing registers and documentation. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, BIM a plus, and a strong eye for construction detailing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, or related discipline.
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in interior design, technical design, architectural drafting, or construction documentation.
• Experience in retail, commercial, hospitality, workplace, or experiential projects is advantageous.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, BIM or other 3D modelling tools will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for project execution.
• Support the translation of design concepts into practical, buildable, and cost-efficient solutions.
• Assist in coordinating shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical submissions from contractors and vendors.
• Ensure drawings and documentation are accurate, up to date, and aligned with project requirements.
• Work closely with designers, project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues and design discrepancies.
• Support site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in identifying technical challenges and contribute practical solutions during design development and construction stages.
• Perform drawing reviews and quality checks to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, materials, construction methods, and technical standards.

A Day in the Life

What We Are Looking For

• Basic understanding of construction detailing, materials, and building systems.

• Familiarity with local regulations and authority requirements is a plus.
