Job summary

Helius Technologies is seeking a Technical Consultant to support development, automation and testing of banking technology solutions. You will implement components, support integrations, and contribute to deployment and post-production support.

Working with Lead and Senior Consultants, you will design configurations, write automation scripts, validate data, document results and help drive quality across APIs, databases and monitoring dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related discipline.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in software development, testing or technical support.
• Hands-on programming in Java, Python or JavaScript.
• Understanding of APIs, databases and integration patterns.
• Experience with software testing tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Good communication and collaboration across teams.
• Attention to detail, ownership and willingness to learn.

Technical Consultant - Development, Automation & Testing

Location: Changi, Singapore

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Consultant to support the development, configuration and testing of solutions across banking technology workstreams covering error handling, automated recovery and system dependencies.

Working alongside Lead and Senior Consultants, you will implement technical components, support integrations, execute testing and prepare documentation through deployment and post-production support.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Configuration

• Develop and configure components based on approved specifications.
• Implement error-handling logic, API integrations and data mappings.
• Configure monitoring dashboards, alerting rules and automated workflows.
• Write scripts and automation tools to support deployment activities.
• Assist with AI/ML model integration and testing.

Testing and Validation

• Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke and sanity tests.
• Validate data accuracy, system behaviour and integration points.
• Document test results, log defects and work with developers to validate fixes.
• Support UAT, deployment verification and production readiness.

Documentation and Support

• Prepare technical documentation, configuration guides, user guides and FAQs.
• Document system configurations, integrations and dependencies.
• Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions.
• Provide production support during hypercare and escalated issues appropriately.

Collaboration

• Work with technical and business teams to clarify requirements and deliver assigned features.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Highlight delivery risks and technical issues to senior team members.
• Contribute to reusable assets and process improvements.

Requirements
